Welcome to Stokesay Flowers, where we grow exceptional cut flowers for inspiring event florists. Everything is produced within two hugely romantic walled gardens in rural South Shropshire: the late Victorian brick-walled former kitchen garden at Stokesay Court, Onibury, which we have leased since 2012, and the much earlier walled kitchen garden of Downton Hall, Ludlow, which we took on in 2022. Sheltered within the high brick walls, a great abundance of flowers and foliage flourish, giving us large quantities of floral material to harvest for our discriminating customers between the months of April and October each year. We specialise in roses, in particular the glorious fat fragrant old roses of the nineteenth century and earlier, and great spilling boughs of traditional rambling roses, as well as the wonderful tendrilly abundance of jasmine, honeysuckle and clematis which grows in swathes over our old brick walls.

Our gorgeous blooms are picked, conditioned overnight in one of our old cool outbuildings, and then delivered to our enormously talented florist customers, mostly in London, the West Midlands and the Cotswolds, who turn the raw materials into magical displays.

What we do

Florists

We supply flowers by the bucket to florists, with regular weekly deliveries to the Midlands, the Cotswolds area, and West London.

We are also happy to provide buckets of flowers for local collection.  Our luscious, seasonal, English garden flowers are available each year between April and October.
