Harvesting the apple blossom

Lovely soft fragrant pillowy billowy blooms of blossom are spilling from the apple trees. Little birds land on the springing stems and send down showers of petals. The lichen encrusting the older gnarly branches is peely and beautiful, and contrasts wonderfully with the fresh creaminess of the new silken blossoms.
